Customers say they send email, but it's not arriving...

There are several reasons the mail may not be arriving:

  • You have Spam Assassin enabled, and their mail contains too many features that appear to be 'spam'.
  • The customer is using the wrong 'case' in the address, or has misspelled something.
  • Your email client (software) is set incorrectly to retrieve mail - check your account using WebMail.

You can easily test your email - try sending yourself an email, and see if it arrives. If it does, then the customer is probably using the wrong case or spelling. Simply advise the customer to use the correct email address, and be sure to instruct them to use all lower case or caps where needed.
